Aston Villa capitulated in a 4-0 defeat to Leicester on Monday, a result which leaves them in the relegation zone while the performance demonstrated that there is a long way back to turn things around.
The Villans have now won just one of their last six games, leading some fans to discuss whether or not they’d be keen for Sam Allardyce to take over from Dean Smith.
The current boss may have won promotion but he has made mistakes this term, and a stubborn refusal to move away from a 4-3-3 formation could be costing the team points, as it is certainly not producing success.
However, supporters are against the idea of Allardyce arriving, even though he has tremendous experience at Premier League level on top of managing England. Furthermore, he is available, too.
It seems an odd stance to take considering the former Everton manager is perhaps Villa’s best bet at escaping danger.

Allardyce has previously led the likes of Sunderland and Crystal Palace away from danger comfortably, while also re-establishing West Ham as a stable Premier League club before achieving a top-half finish.
He often instils that fighting spirit and belief which the Midlands outfit clearly lacked against the Foxes, and therefore the squad is crying out for a manager like him.
At Crystal Palace, for example, he took over a team looking hopeless with 15 points from 17 games and lying 17th after winning one in 11, before transforming their fortunes and finishing comfortably away from danger in 14th.
